This album was released in 1981 by Duke Jordan, an American pianist who honed his skills under Coleman Hawkins, Charlie Parker, and Art Former, and was a prominent figure in the jazz scene from the 1950s onward with Sonny Stitt, Stan Getz, and others. This is a piano trio album with Philly Joe Jones (ds) and David Friesen (b). The album opens with a standard number and features historical masterpieces such as "Night in Tunesia," "Satin Doll," and "Ladybird," while the smoky, silver-toned playing with a very calm tension develops throughout the album, making it an adult oriented album. This is a domestic issue with obi.
