This album was released in 1981 on Germany’s JG-Records by the duo of bassist Jacek Bednarek and flutist Krzysztof Zgraja, both of whom had been active in the Polish jazz scene since the 1970s. This copy is the 1983 edition released in their native Poland by the state-run label Polskie Nagrania Muza. Making striking use of deep echo and reverb, the album creates an organic soundscape that seems to give form to the workings of nature and the order of the universe itself. It is an ethno-experimental jazz work of the highest order, and nothing short of a treasure. Very, very highly recommended.
