Uneasy Peace
Chiltern Sound Records (UK) 1978
CSLP1 (LP) one side coated sleeve.
sleeve : VG+(light dirts, color-faded.)
media : EX/EX-(some slightly noises. the beginning of B1 has one small and slightly hairline that does not affect to sounds.)

Edge, a one-off project from the UK featuring Pat Crumly (ts, fl), who left a masterpiece titled "Third World Sketches" with his sextet in 1985, with Frank Tom (p), Tony Moore (b), and Nigel Morris (ds) participating. The project released its only album on a small indie label in 1978. It's filled with tension-filled themes, starting with the thrilling opening track A1, followed by the tenor saxophone passionately intertwining with the open rhythm section in A2, and the emotionally evocative melodies of piano and flute gently dancing in B1. This lesser-known gem of UK spiritual jazz, inheriting the legacy of American Black jazz artists like John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, and Billy Harper, is outstanding throughout every track. The sound quality is also excellent, capturing the live atmosphere wonderfully. Highly recommended.

A1: Theme
