An excellent album released in 1982 by São Paulo female singer Eliete Negreiros, produced by Arrigo Barnabe, a genius in the Brazilian avant-garde scene. It includes A1, a bold cover of a song from Caetano Veloso's 1975 masterpiece "Joia" with minimal contemporary vocal/chorus work. Side A proceeds with an incredibly avant-garde worldview, while Side B features elegant jazz, including Cole Porter's cover B1, where Eliete's poignant vocals beautifully blend with strings and acoustic piano, and light samba-pop. This is a truly amazing Brazilian avant-pop work with a unique and fascinating direction. This is the 1984 pressing distributed by Lira Paulistana.
