This is the second album released in 1959 by Evan Bradshaw, a rare American pianist born in Memphis, Tennessee, who began playing in his father's band at the age of 12 before moving to New York. The trio features Alvin Jackson (b), brother of Milt Jackson, and Richard Allen (ds). Bradshaw showcases a range from standards by Cole Porter and Dizzy Gillespie to his own original scores, demonstrating a touch with both attack and blues feeling throughout, maintaining a calm atmosphere. The cover of George & Ira Gershwin's piece on A4 also stands out with its elegant performance. This US reissue by Fantasy likely dates back to the late 1980s or early 1990s.
