This album was released in 1981 as the third installment of the "Keba Na Matraque" series released in the early 80's under the name Franco de Mi Amor by Franco Luambo, who is known as an international representative of Congolese music. The first half of the album has a beautiful chorus work that is truly African rumba, and the second half of the album has Franco's unique croaky voice singing in a knobbed style. B1 has a Caribbean atmosphere with an interesting contrast between the wild bass and saxophone.
