Francois Luambo Makiadi Lokanga La Djo Pene (a.k.a. Franco), a leading figure in the international scene of Congolese music since the 50's, and Sam Mangwana, a singer who was also a member of Franco's band T.P.O.K. Jazz, collaborated on this 1982 release. The groovy and tropical performance of the T.P.O.K. Jazz Band and the flowing vocals and chorus work of both singers make this a great rumba congolese album. Groovy, warm and rhythmic, this is pre-digital Soukous at its best. Highly recommended. It is beautiful copy.
