An album released in 1973 by François Rabbath, a Syrian-French bassist who had been active as a session musician since the early 1960s. This deep contemporary jazz masterpiece, rightly called his magnum opus, features incredible soundscapes created by the ever-changing melodies of the double bass and primitive beats. Highlights include the ethnic ensemble on A1, performed with multiple percussionists and drummers, and the floating sensation of B2, which feels like drifting in the depths of the ocean. This entire album comes highly recommended.

A1: L'odysée D'eau
B2: Thyossane
B5: Chagall De Basse
