Frank Lowe
The Other Side
Palm (France) 1977
PALM 25 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(dirts, color-faded.)
media : VG+/VG+(some slightly surface noises. some click noises caused by very small pressing error.)

American saxophonist Frank Lowe, whose great works include appearances on Don Cherry's "Ralativity Suite" and "Brown Rice", Alic Coltrane's "World Galaxy", and many others, released this album in 1975. It was recorded live at PALM Studio in Paris in 1976 with Lawrence Morris (cornet), Didier Levallet (b), and George Brown (ds). The band's main theme is avant-jazz, with Lowe's distinctive tenor saxophone blows like a shrieking elephant in the midst of the slow and steady development of the music. The pressing quality seems not to have been very good to begin with, and there are a few very small dented pressing errors and a few petit noises, but other than that, the sound plays well overall.
