This is an album by American pianist Freddie Redd, who worked with Art Blakey in the mid-1950s and made his record debut on Prestige in 1955 with "Introducing....". Quartet with Jackie McLean (as), Michael Mattos (b) and Larry Ritchie (ds). This is his masterpiece, composed for the New York-based The Living Theatre's stage production of "The Connection". This is the Japanese reissue released from Toshiba EMI's <Blue Note 4000 Series Ultra Collection> in 1992.
