This is the first leader album by American organ player Freddie Roach, who left eight albums for Blue Note and Prestige in the 1960s, released on Blue Note in 1962. Quartet with Percy France (ts), Kenny Burrell (g), and Clarence Johnston (ds). His soul-jazz is a great example of a different kind of soul jazz from that of Jimmy Smith, with plenty of the gospel feeling that he has been accustomed to since childhood. This is the Japanese reissue from Toshiba EMI's <Blue Note 4000 Series Ultra Collection> in 1993.
