German guitarist Gunther Beckers, who released only four albums and one 7-inch single between 1979 and 1984, put out this second album in 1980 on his own label, Milky-Music. In addition to the mysterious Turkish guitarist Ozkan Yalkinoglu—who also appeared on his previous work Greetings—the recording features band-style performances with musicians such as Mickey Meuser (b), Stefan Kremer (ds), and Hajo Dickau (g). Alongside 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars, Beckers also introduces electric guitar and guitar synthesizer on this album, bringing a floating sense of ambience into his country/folk-rock foundation. The album stands as a precursor to the masterpiece Walkman released two years later, already hinting at his gradual shift toward a more abstract style. Essential listening for fans of guitar ambient and new age—very highly recommended. As with his other works, each copy bears Beckers’ handwritten signature and stamp.
