This album was released in 1981 by Gal Costa, a Bahamian diva who created the Tropicarismo movement with Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil. The danceable tracks, such as A1, with its light percussion beat, sharp cutting guitars, and gorgeous horn section, are wonderful, as is A2, which sways elegantly and moodily against a mambo-like rhythm, and the beautiful ensemble of strings and chorus. The sweet vocals of Gal Costa will melt you into the slow tunes. This is a very good album.
