An artist compilation album by Gal Costa, one of the leading female singers of the Brazilian MPB scene who, alongside Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia, Mutantes, and Tom Zé, helped pioneer the Tropicalia movement. Released in 1987 as part of the Brazilian Philips Personalidade series (issued between 1987 and 1992), this excellent collection features a total of 14 digitally remastered tracks spanning from her early works—such as songs from her 1969 debut solo album Gal Costa and the 1970 release Legal—to her later pieces from the late 1970s and 1980s, when her style had become fully established.
