Gary Burton, an American jazz vibraphone player who has been active since the early 1960s, is the leader of this quartet, which includes Steve Swallow (b), Mike Hyman (ds), and Japanese jazz pianist Makoto Ohsone. Gary Burton is one of the most well-known ECM musicians. Gary Burton is one of the most legitimate ECM musicians, and this album is no exception, with beautiful contemporary jazz that is mild and easy on the ears, yet with a deepness that is typical of ECM.
