Gary Peacock, a jazz bassist who was devoted to the free jazz movement in New York in the early '60s and played with Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry, and in the late '70s with ECM regulars such as Art Lande, Jack DeJohnette, and Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock released this album in 1979, released this album in 1979. Jan Garbarek plays saxophone on two tracks, but the rest of the album is all bass solos. He plays riffs and solos at the same time, like a guitarist, and his performance is full of lyricism and deep spirituality. The duo with Garbarek is the ultimate in deepness.
