In the early 60's in New York City, bassist Gary Peacock was a follower of the free jazz movement and played with Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry, and in the late 70's he worked with ECM regulars such as Art Lande, Jack DeJohnette, and Keith Jarrett. Peacock recorded this album with pianist Art Lande and drummer Eliot Zigmund, and it was released in 1981. The three players lay down melodies as if they were painting a lightly colored landscape, creating an extremely beautiful and delicate sound world that appears in the acoustic space. Lande's piano and Peacock's bass, which are like conversational solos, are wonderful. Original German pressing.
