American saxophonist George Adams, whose 1979 quintet "Paradise Space Shuttle" was featured in the first edition of the Obscure Sound guidebook, released this album in 1983. The quartet consists of Don Pullen (p), Cameron Brown (b) and Dannie Richmond (ds). All of the songs are very cool, but the spiritual jazz on A1 and B3, sublimated with Adams' unique groove, reminds me of the vision of John Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders. Pullen's Brazilian Jazz A2 is also highly recommended.
