This was introduced in the 1st. edition of the guidebook "obscure sound". Leader album by American tenor saxophonist George Adams, released in 1979. On this album, side A also features that kind of performance, but there is also A2, a soulful slow jazz tune reminiscent of Pharoah Sanders, B1, a cool breezy spiritual samba jazz tune similar to the taste of Pharoah Sanders' "Thembi,". The B2, over 14 minutes of superb jazz-funk with a mid-tempo percussive funk beat and Adams' own croaky blues vocals, is by far the best. The organic development of the flute in the middle half is also too cool.
B1: City of Peace
B2: Funk-a-roonie-peacock
