This is an album released in 1978 by American guitarist George Benson in collaboration with the Harlem Underground Band. George Benson had a long and successful career spanning from the early days of soul jazz to the peak of fusion in the 1980s, leaving behind numerous classic songs. This album is a re-edtion, which includes two tracks from the 1976 album 'Harlem Underground' released under the Harlem Underground Band's name, along with three unreleased tracks. It comes with a bit of controversy, as Benson sued the record label, Paul Winley Records, and its owner, Paul Winley, and lost the case. While track A3, featuring Earl Williams on drums, stands out with its captivating drumming, the real highlight remains track B1, which boasts a groovy and infectious slow funk beat, complemented by effective female vocals. This original US pressing is a must-have for fans of the genre.
