Masterpiece duo album released in 1979 by trombonist George Lewis and reed player Douglas Ewart of AACM in Chicago, USA. The album was released on the up-and-coming Italian jazz label Black Saint. George Lewis has been known for his Afro-spiritual free improvisations that boldly incorporate synthesizers and electrified reed instruments, and on this album, Lewis and his ally Ewart, using electronics and electrically modified trombones, play a wonderfully organic improvisational style, overlapping as they go. In particular, "The Imaginary Suite" on the full A2 and B sides, with its various sounds and electronic noises, is absolutely fantastic.
