This is a live album released in 1983 by Canadian pianist Gil Evans, who used to be one arm of MIles Davis' orchestra and later led his own group to fame as one of the leading jazz orchestras. As the title suggests, "The British Orchestra" is an orchestral work featuring British jazz musicians such as John Surman, Stan Sulzman, Guy Barker, Mo Foster, Ray Russell, and John Taylor. B1 is a 16-minute jazz-rock tune with a cool electric guitar solo by Ray Russell. B2 is a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" with a nostalgic arrangement. This is one to listen to carefully.

B1: London
B2: Little Wing
