1991 leader album by American pianist Gildo Mahones, who has been active for a long time since the late 40s and has played on sessions with many musicians from Milt Jackson to Lester Young, Sonny Stitt and Leon Thomas. With Bob Maize (b) and Johnny Kirkwood (ds), the trio plays their own originals, standard numbers and songs by Charlie Parker, Horace Silver and others in a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish. Mahones was 61 years old at the time of this performance, and you can hear very emotional and tasteful piano backed up by a long career. This is a wonderful performance that will soak into your body. Recommended for adults.
