Globe Unity Special is a special project by the members of the Globe Unity Orchestra, which originated from a collaboration between Peter Brotzmann Trip and the Manfred Schoof Quintet at the Berlin Jazz Festival in 1966. This album was released in 1976. Recorded during the "Workshop Freie Musik" held in 1975, the album features a total of nine members, including Kenny Wheeler, Steve Lacy, Evan Parker, Albert Mangelsdorff, and Paul Rutherford. B2, an arrangement of Thelonious Monk's "Evidence," is a nice ensemble, but it is still a lot of fun to hear the prototype rattle and fall apart.
