Wergo Jazz (Germany) 197x
WER 80001 (LP) coated sleeve.
sleeve : NM-

The album was released in 1969, featuring the vocalist Jeanne Lee, by a group led by German multi-instrumentalist Gunter Hampel, who has been active since the early 1950s. The group has been involved in European activities with Cecil Taylor and Art Ensemble of Chicago in the 1960s, leaving works on labels like ESP Disk. This particular album, released as a reissue in 1974 by Wergo Jazz in Germany, showcases exceptional performances throughout.

Starting from a gentle blues transition to a gradually strange world in A2, and featuring Lee's magical chants dancing over a groovy rhythm section in A3, the album highlights Hampel's distinctiveness in a compelling manner. It is considered a masterpiece that unfolded a remarkable performance. This is a well-preserved second pressing believed to have been released in the early 1970s.
