This masterpiece trio album, released in 1984, features three exceptional talents from the Japanese music scene: Hozan Yamamoto, a shakuhachi player who left a great legacy through his contemporary activities beyond classical performing arts; Masahiko Togashi, a rare percussionist who continued his unique style of performance despite being paralyzed on one side; and Yosuke Yamashita, a free-jazz pianist whom Japan boasts to the world, known for his numerous anecdotes. The project was conceived by Uwe Schaeffler, a producer for Norddeutscher Rundfunk (North German Broadcasting), and according to the liner notes, Hozan Yamamoto proposed collaborating with Yosuke Yamashita, and then Masahiko Togashi joined at their suggestion. This was the first time the three musicians had sessioned together. Yamashita and Togashi had already performed together in perfect harmony on the masterpiece album "Chō" in 1980, and the world of sound that materializes with the addition of Yamamoto's shakuhachi needs no verbal description. This is a high-fidelity record recorded with PCM digital recording.
