A 1984 album by Rio de Janeiro-born Brazilian composer and guitarist Hélio Delmiro, also known for Samambaia, his collaboration with César Camargo Mariano. The lineup includes Nico Assumpção (b), Fernando Martins (el-p), Marinho Boffa (synth), and Bob Wyatt (dr). From light, fast-moving fusion grooves to sophisticated urban fusion filled with mellow atmosphere, the album is driven throughout by Delmiro’s warm, fluid semi-acoustic guitar tone. A superb set of mature crossover jazz, balancing technical refinement with an effortless sense of groove. A1 is especially recommended, with its wonderfully smooth, mellow Balearic feel.
A1: Folha Morta
A3: Ad Infinito
