Recorded live at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Ireland in 1980, this album features percussionist Henri Guedon from Martinique, a French island in the Caribbean West Indies. Alfredo De La Fe (violin), Ray Lopez (tp), who has also played on Barretto's albums, Andy Gonzalez (b), Jerry Gonzalez's brother, and many other musicians from Cuba and Puerto Rico. This is a nice live album where you can enjoy Afro-Cuban music such as Tito Puente's cover A2 with its hot blasting horns and salsa rhythms, as well as mambo and rumba. (Chee)
