The 1983 album by the exceptional talents in the free jazz scene, including the late Japanese free improviser/trumpeter Toshinori Kondo, American cellist Tristan Honsinger, German bassist Peter Kowald, and drummer Saboro (Yoshisaburo Toyozumi). The album, a collaborative release between Kondo's IMA label and DIW, the label of Disk Union, pays homage to the roots of jazz in New Orleans while seamlessly blending improvisation in a free-form style. Recorded at Chestnut Studio in Suzuka-yama in the same year, the album features six compositions by Honsinger and three by Kondo. It's a highly enjoyable session that exudes the love for New Orleans jazz roots, making it a must-listen for those who appreciate the ECM works of the Art Ensemble Chicago and Lester Bowie.
