This album was released in 1975 by Hozan Yamamoto, a shakuhachi player who has made great achievements not only in the classical arts but also in contemporary music's activities. It was recorded at Iino Hall in Tokyo in the same year with the participation of flutist Akiyasu Miyamoto, harpist Kumiko Inoue, and pianist Kosuke Sugano. A1 is a duet for shakuhachi and flute, A2 is a three-part suite for shakuhachi and harp, and side B is a four-part suite for shakuhachi and piano based on the theme of spring, summer, autumn and winter. All of them are wonderful performances that show the radical attitude of Kuniyama Yamamoto, who has legitimately inherited the Miyako-yama school while leading shakuhachi to a new level.
