Hozan Yamamoto
RCA Red Seal (Japan) 1973
JRZ-2528 (LP) Original pressing, textured gatefold sleeve.
sleeve : VG+(light dirts inside of gatefold sleeve.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises.)

This album was released in 1973 by Hozan Yamamoto, a shakuhachi player who has made great achievements not only in the classical arts but also in contemporary activities. He was joined by Shizuo Aoki and Katsuya, who formed Shakuhachi-Sambon-Kai with Hozan, as well as Tadao Sawai (koto) and Hidehiko Satoh (percussion). Sanbon-Kai's A1 is, of course, symbolic of Hozan's aim at the time, to break away from and transcend the classics without denying them, and it expresses his own unique expression of nature. In addition, you can listen to the entire piece, which is a study of sound that does not make you aware of its superb technique. This is an original pressing with a textured sleeve and a list price of 2,000 yen.

A1: 三本の尺八のための緩急
B1: 詩曲二番
