This is the first album released in 1984 by Ichiko Hashimoto of Colored Music, a group that is currently attracting a great deal of attention due to its worldwide reevaluation. This is a contemporary/ambient series released from JVC's Music Interior series, which also includes works by Seigen Ono, Masahide Sakuma, Yoshio Suzuki, etc. Side A is a solo performance on acoustic piano, reminiscent of Erik Satie's "furniture music". Side B is an ambient piece that layers synthesizers and Kazuko Hashimoto's beautiful vocals, and the contrast with the avant-rock sound of Colored Music shows the wide range of her musicality. This is a wonderful work that sets itself apart from the current domestic new age/ambient revival. Recording and mix engineering by Seigen Ono.
