Swiss pianist Irene Schweizer, known for her work with the Feminist Improvising Group formed with Lindsay Cooper and Maggie Nicholes, released this solo piano album on the prestigious German label Free Music Production in 1977. Recorded during the <Total Music Meeting> in Berlin in November 1976, side A is 15 minutes 46 seconds long and side B is 18 minutes 15 seconds long. I believe it was improvised, but the performance is very engaging, with strong attacks, and the imaginative phrasing that gushes out like a fountain, drawing you in faster and faster. Jazz categorization transcends to the point of complete nonsense. Highly recommended.
