A leader album by drummer Jack DeJohnette, released in 1978, featuring a quartet with John Abercrombie (g), Lester Bowie (t), and Eddie Gomez (b). The work has a wonderful spiritual atmosphere full of funkiness, with Dejohnette's spacey drumming and Bowie's rumpet and Abercrombie's electric guitar floating in the air. Other contemporary jazz pieces are included throughout the album, which intersects the playing in a taut and tense atmosphere.
A1: Bayou Fever
