Jack Dejohnette, a jazz drummer from Chicago, USA, who has been active at the forefront of jazz music since the late 1960s and has participated in a tremendous number of sessions, and has also performed his excellent drumming on many ECM albums, released his second leader album in 1977, a masterpiece. John Dejohnette is also a talented pianist, and this album also features deep, experimental, and spiritual jazz based on drum solos, layered with piano, organ, and John Abercrombie's psychedelic guitar. A total concept album of contemporary jazz throughout. All the tracks are great, but it is A1 that starts with Jack Dejohnette's free-form drum solo and is topped off with organ chords that resonate in your body.
