Jan Garbarek-Bobo Stenson Quartet
Whitchi-Tai-To
ECM Records/Polydor (US) 1974
ECM 1041 (LP)
sleeve : EX+(slightly collapse on one corner, still good condition.)
media : VG+/EX-(some slightly surface noises caused by slightly hairlines. side A has misalignment in the center hole. intro on B1 has light surface noises.)

This album was released on ECM in 1974 by a quartet led by the Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek and the Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson, and features Palle Danielsson (b) and Jon Christensen (dr). The best part of the album is B2, a cover of Don Cherry's famous song "Desireless" from "Organic Music Society", which is over 20 minutes long, and Jan Garbarek's deep spirituality adds to the message of the song. Performances are all wonderful, and for some reason I thought of John Coltrane while listening to it. Their aggressive renditions of songs by Carla Bley and Jim Pepper are also excellent.

There is a misalignment in the center hole on side A, and the sounds slightly distorted toward the inner edge.

A1: A.I.R.
B2: Desireless
