A 1990 leader album by Jan Garbarek, a representative saxophone player for ECM. In addition to super musicians familiar to ECM such as Rainer Bruninghaus (piano), Eberhard Weber (b), and Nana Vasconcelos (perc), Manu Katche (dr), Bugge Wesseltoff (synth), and Ingor Antte Ailu Gaup (vo) also participated. The album features organic ethnic jazz with dynamic development and refined performances throughout. In particular, the participation of the Norwegian folk group Ingor Antte Ailu Gaup adds an exotic touch, and the folkloric essence is beautifully blended with the ECM sound. This is a wonderful work that can be enjoyed throughout the entire album. Eberhard Weber's bass, though understated, still sings.
