This is a collection of Erik Satie's piano works by French pianist Jean-Joel Barbier, a renowned performer of Erik Satie's works. It contains a total of 42 pieces of Satie's music from 1886 to 1920, arranged chronologically. The album is accompanied by a 26-page booklet with Japanese commentary, and is an excellent historical reference that allows the listener to follow the time axis and learn more about Erik Satie and his music, as well as the origin of the idea of "furniture music," which was the basis for Brian Eno's advocacy of ambient music. This is an excellent album with high historical value.
