An album released in 1982 by French composer and synthesist Jean-Michel Jarre, the son of renowned composer Maurice Jarre. After establishing himself in the field of film scoring in the early 1970s, he released the groundbreaking Oxygène in 1976, a masterpiece that made extensive use of synthesizers and became a worldwide hit. This commemorative work captures the historic concerts held in Beijing and Shanghai in 1981, marking the first performances in China by a Western artist. In addition to pieces from Oxygène, Équinoxe, and Magnetic Fields, the album features previously unreleased tracks seemingly composed specifically for this event. Highly recommended are tracks A2 and D1, spiritual electronic music built from multiple layers of synthesizer arpeggios.

A2: Arpegiator
D1: Night in Shanghai
