Released in 1974, this album by Jeremy Steig, one of the most psychedelic flutists in jazz, features a rhythm section of Eddie Gomez (b), Ray Mantilla (per), Marty Morell (dr, per) and other Latin jazz greats. Jeremy Steig's flute is the only instrument on this rather earthy ensemble. The album is full of powerful and spiritual jazz rock/jazz funk, including A1 with its shuffling rhythms and crazy flute playing, and A3 with its sticky funk beat, gloomy bass line, and trippy, revved-up flute.
