This is an album released in 1962 by Jimmy Smith, an American Hammond organist who began his career in the 1950s and established his own unique style with his characteristic playing technique, which greatly influenced future generations. The album features the bassless trio with Quentin Warren (g) and Donald Bailey (ds).
This is an excellent album featuring music related to Fats Waller, a jazz pianist active from the late 1910s to the early 1940s, and Smith played bluesy early jazz in a relaxed and soulful manner on the Hammond organ. Relax and enjoy. This is the Japanese reissue in 1992 on Toshiba-EMI's <Blue Note 4000 Series Ultra Collection>. The sound is also good.
