Album released in 1987 by German pianist Joachim Kuhn, who made his professional debut in the early 60s and showed his talent in the avant/free jazz scene as well as with his brother, clarinetist Rolf Kuhn. Ballet music created for dancer Carolyn Carlson, this is highly experimental, with Kuhn's imaginative piano solos and Walter Quintus' live effects creating deep soundscapes. This is a work of avant-garde music that transcends the boundaries of jazz. A texture rarely heard before. Highly recommended.
