This is a leader album released in 1987 by Joanne Brackeen, a pianist who has performed with Freddie McCoy, Art Blakey, Toots Thielemans, Stan Getz, and many other greats. The quintet features Cecil McBee (b) and Al Foster (ds), who also played together on "Havin' Fun" released in 1985, as well as Terence Blanchard (tp) and Branford Marsalis (as,ss). The album opens with A1, an original number reminiscent of Spanish bullfighting music, followed by A2, a famous standard number, and B1, a cover of a bossa classic by Antonio Carlos Jobim, etc. Brackeen's elegant piano and the smoky silver playing of the participating members respond to it.
A2: Stardust
B1: Zingaro
