The first album by Swedish guitarist Johan Zachrisson, released in 1988, who was active around percussionist Per Tjernberg and singer-songwriter Olle Ljungström. While musicians like Lennart Åberg and Stefan Blomquist appear as guest players on individual tracks, this is essentially a self-produced work crafted almost entirely by Zachrisson himself. Making extensive use of synthesizers, the album creates a unique world where emotional electric guitar—under the influence of progressive rock—is layered within a New Age-inspired soundscape. The result is a moody and evocative portrayal of Sweden's pastoral landscapes. A very Nordic approach. Highly recommended.
