Album released in 1960 by John Coltrane, the undisputed jazz giant who made the leap from Sheets of Sound to spiritual free. Quartet with Tommy Flanagan (p), Paul Chambers (b) and Art Taylor (ds). All songs are original compositions by Coltrane. On B2 'Naima', which has become a standard number and has been taken up by numerous musicians, Wynton Kelly replaces Flanagan on piano and Jimmy Cobb replaces Taylor on drums. This is a US reissue in 1976. The sound quality s superb.
