Joji Yuasa “Interpenetration for 2 Flutes”

Denon (Japan) 1983
OS-7109-ND (LP)
sleeve : VG+(SRW, light dirts on back.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises.)

This is a collection of works by Joji Yuasa, one of Japan's leading contemporary musicians, who laid the foundation for electronic music in Japan by participating with Toru Takemitsu and others in the Experimental Studio organized by poet Shuzo Takiguchi, and who has left behind a number of works since the late 1950s. The two-flute ensemble that floats quietly in the space, A1, "Compatibile for Two Flutes"; "Triplicity for Double Bass", A2, with its percussion-like blows and string distortions; and "Interposi Plession II", A3, with flute, harp, and percussion that evokes a very Japanese sensibility. The three B-side tracks "Inner Tactile Universe," "Projection Topologic," and "On the Keyboard," which are expressed by Yuji Takahashi's piano solo, are representative pieces composed in the early 70s. All songs are excellent.

A2: コントラバスのためのトリプシティ
A3: インター・ポジ・プレイ・ション II
