This is a 1975 leader album by the American pianist Joseph Bonner, who has participated in numerous sessions, including historic albums by Pharoah Sanders and Billy Harper. In addition to his session work, he has also left behind hidden masterpieces as a solo artist. This recording was made in New York in the same year with a trio consisting of Clint Houston on bass and Billy Hart on drums, produced by Masahiko Yuh. The album features five tracks, showcasing Bonner's soaring and exhilarating performance, which can be described as his true essence. It stands alongside the acclaimed albums 'The Lifesaver,' released in the same year, and 'Angel Eyes,' released in 1976. Highly recommended.
