This is the second album in the African percussion series by Julien Babinga, a percussionist from Congo (now Zaire) whose third album was featured in the first edition of the Obscure Sound guidebook. Side A is a very primitive ritualistic percussion ensemble, while side B features electronic percussion music with a different edge to Francis Bebey's Afro-beats. All tracks are excellent and highly recommended.
