The album was released in 1976 and features a collaboration between Archie Shepp, one of the greatest black spiritual jazz musicians of all time, and Karin Krog, a Norwegian jazz singer who also sang on John Surman's 1983 ECM album, Such Winters of Memory. The album was recorded in Oslo and was released in 1976, and features a cast of distinguished musicians including Charles Greenlee (tb), Jon Blake (pi), Arild Andersen (b), Beaver Harris (ds) and Cameron Brown (b). In addition to Shepp's original score, and covers of songs by Randy Wston, Mal Waldron, Duke Ellington and others, and a collaboration between Carla Bley and Karin Krog. Karin Krog's adult, urbane voice shines through on this moody jazz tune, with an effective scat intro on A2 and a great interplay on A3. Original Norwegian pressing.
