This album was released in 1964 by Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, one of Germany's leading contemporary musicians, who began with typical serie rhythms and continued to develop into group music, moment forms, and forme techniques, and who also left behind many live electronic works. This is the Japanese pressing released in 1975 from Nippon Columbia's "Aeolian 100: Classics of Contemporary Music" series. It is an electronic music work recorded at the Electronic Music Studio of the West German Broadcasting Corporation in Cologne, and it is a collage of various electronic sounds that are sequenced using a prepared piano, metal/skin/wooden percussion, and impulse generators that are struck randomly by two performers. B2 is "Lefranc," a piece for three instrumentalists, which is also experimental music with sound processing on piano, percussion, wooden bells, vibes, and cowbell.
